Is a HP C4240 printer compatible with a 64 bit Vista pc?

Answers:
. ...from the forum site: "...download the XP driver and don't try to run the Autorun as Vista is primed to reject that and explore the driver and find "setup" folder. Open that and try to run setup install or .exe inside that folder. if that won't work find the .inf file and place on the desktop. Then go into printers in Control panel and update driver browsing to the .inf file on desktop. I have done that with a few pieces of hardware and am successful every time. " ...owww. TOO complicated for me!
Call up HP support or email them. And do the same with MicroSoft and ask about the 4240. Of course if you've already got the HP, just 'Plug & Play' it to find out. Then upgrade the driver. .
if the printer has a 'designed for vista' sticker in the box yes, if it was made before vista was released, maybe
Did you check hp.com? I guess not.
