Is it possible to install a printer without the setup CD?

You there is some where on the net that you can find the type of printer you have and download it Im not sure where search it and see my sister done it before
yeah it usually is if the printer u got connects w/ a usb cable then a screen will pop up asking u to install it, that what i did when i got a new computer and lose the CD to install the printer who knows it might work 4 u
You can connect the printer and in most cases Microsoft Operating system will find drivers for it. XP and Vista contain drivers for most equipment sold today. But you should go to the website of the printer manuf. to get the latest.
Try going to the website of your printers brand. If you can't find what you want there you can try http://www.driverguide.com where you are required to register (for free) but basically you can find all sorts of drivers for your computer =)
Most manufacturers will have the drivers that you need on their website. I have never ran across a website that didn't have the drivers listed. I would suggest getting the drivers this way, rather than just plugging it in (if it is USB) because most times it will not download the drivers properly.
It's entirely possibe, just not recommended. Windows will recognize the new hardware and you can follow the instructions in the dialog box to install the drivers for it. You should only do this if you don't have the software for the device.
Try installing the driver with Control Panel.
Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Printers
Follow instructions.
Windows may very well have the make of Printer and Model listed, if so, it will install the driver (small dedicated software program) for your printer.
