Inkjet or laserjet?

An inkjet is cheaper to buy but the ink is expensive. A lasrjet is more expensive to purchase but the supplies are cheaper per print.
Depends on what the useage is. Either way supplies will cost you in the long run. I prefer laserjet for black and white. Sharper and quicker. Inkjet for color.
It would depend what you need it for.
If you are a person that proofs newsletters and prints 1000's of colour / black & white copies a week, don't buy inkjet...buy laserjet.
If you are a student that prints max 30 pages a week in black & white AND colour...then go ink jet.
If you will NEVER EVER print colour, buy laser.
The reason is laserjet cost per page is lower and the ink never dries up. Inkjet costs more per page and the ink can dry up.
it depends on what you're printing. if you do mostly basic text printing like papers you type for school or what-not then go with a laser. up front cost is about the same as an inkjet. most lasers come with a toner cartridge that will last waaaaay longer than any inkjet. plus laser toner cartridges don't dry up like inkjet can.
however, if you need to print color photos you're better off with inkjet as color laser is mad expensive and not near the quality of inkjet.
It depends on whether you are comparing an inkjet to a monochrome laserjet or a color laserjet. Assuming you are doing the former, the decision will be based on your typical use. Will you be using it to print photographs and Powerpoint presentations? If so, then an inkjet would be the definitive choice.
