I have a line down one side of my printed page?
Answers:
as said in previous answers print out a test page and if problem still exists and you have gone through the head cleaning and nozzle checks then it is a physical print head problem meaning you will have to take each cartridge out and give them a clean with a very soft cloth and white spirit(not turps) be careful when cleaning if a chip is on the cartridge.use a cotton bud dipped in white spirit to clean the area inside the printer where the cartridge sits and ink is injected also on the cartridge where ink comes out of.
this will solve your problem but you will need to preform all maintenance again especially the print head alignment function(find all you need in the properties of the printer) good luck.

Firstly, check that the line isn't a real part of the file you are printing.
Look up troubleshooting in the help files of your printer software first. Make sure you've completed all the stages, some printers also have self-cleaning where they print out a page to clear the ink, with blocks of colour.
Using the official (rather than refilled/generic) cartridges will give you the best print. If you are using other brands it may be the cartridge isn't suitable.
Try new cartridges, check they are seated correctly.
Contact the manufactuer.
I had a similar problem a couple of years ago with a Hewlett Packard DeskJet 850C
I eventually contacted Hewlett Packard who e-mailed me a link to an update file which corrected the problem.
