I have a DELL A 962 printer, I have been looking for a driver to work with my MacBook with no luck.. according to dells website they do not make drivers for apple products, ive searched the internet for maybe a lexmark or cannon or some other printer that is the equivelant to my dell printer, but havent had any luck there either...
anyone out there that can give me ideas?
Answers:
Your dell printer will not work with a mac. Dell does not write apple compatible drivers for their printers therefore your computer does not and will not ever have the software to send instruction to the printer.
You can usually search Google and find the Dell site where they will (most likely) have the firmware downloads where you can just download it, install it, and plug it in ...
All HPs are compatible with macs. I would look at newegg (www.newegg.com) or tiger direct (www.tigerdirect.com) for a printer you would like. My suggestion is the HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-In-One. you can look at a review of it here:
