Not at all!
I work at a shop that sells compatible cartridges an has been for years and we have yet to hear any major complaints. Your other option (and a better more enviromentaly friendly one) Is to take your empty carts to a shop to have them refilled. Both compats and refills are alot cheaper than buying the originals, which are over priced.
Hi
you will fined that the manufacturer will not repair or replace your printer if you use other cartridges for the first year, thy can do this and claim the other cartridge caused the problem, but after that, fill your boots
There may well be warranty problems, but the fact is that they make an awful lot of money from ink, so they want to lock you in to their cartridges. I have and Epson and a Cannon, and rarely use the Epson 'cos the ink is so expensive - I have recently started using cheap ink bought online as I do think they are taking the mickey.
if it works ok do it.
Usually, the 'compatible' ink is not as good as the manufacturer's ink, in terms of fade resistance, smudge resistance, and water resistance.
Epson printer cartridges shouldn't really be re-filled because their cartridges are designed differently and some people have had problems with refilling them. You should look around your area to see if there are any places that sell re-manufactered cartridges.
A non-colour laser printer would probably be best for you if you print out a lot of stuff. It costs less per page (especially if you get it refilled somewhere) and you don't have to worry about the typical ink-related problems that you get with ink-jet printers.
I work selling printers and repairing them.
Some like compatible more than others. It wont wreck your printer and it wont void your warranty. Try it out.
