How can i print my files faster?

Outside of making it a draft quality, no you cannot. Colour laser printers are slow. There is no way to speed it up outside of printer in greyscale or a draft mode. (even in draft mode you will only notice a marginal increase in speed)
There seems to be no problems with compatibility between the Macintosh and the HP laser printer and neither device affects each other's performance. Probably the printing speed is set to photo finish ensuring that the final printout is crystal clear as in an acutal photo making the process quite slow. If not, it is the pdf format. Whatever the scenario, if the printer prints at a slow speed with other formats and settings it is set to factory default. But you can speed the process abit by choosing draft settings. Let me remind you that using draft settings for a final printout will distort letters abit especially pictures. On the other hand, draft settings are much faster than the normal settings.
