Those instructions are fine for just deleting the item from the printer however you may need to clear the print spooler service as well.
Click Start>Run Type in cmd.
When the command line opens type in net stop spooler.enter.
You will get a confirmation that this has been done.
Then restart it with net start spooler. (note the spaces)
This will clear anything that Windows is hanging on to.
right click on it and then click cancel or delete
Start > Control Panel > Printers > select your printer, right click and select purge documents or cancel printing.
Once you've marked the print for cancel or delete, you may have to power off your printer to clear it from the queue.
Click on the start button on the left side of the screen.
Click on settings, and go to printers and faxes
Click on printers and faxes
Double click on your printer, and then go to the document
Click on it and then hit delete.
