Is a lexmark 1200 all in one compatible with vista home? works fine with xp?
Answers:
Did you buy the printer at the same place as the notebook because any good retailer should have been aware that printers need drivers for vista and should have supplied you an up to date printer with a CD with drivers that work out of the box any OEM programme supplied with the printer may not work with vista so spoiling the full enjoyment of your product
you can download drivers but why should you. Lexmark told me my all in one was too old (2yrs) and would not supply a vista driver contact the shop and ask them to sort it your printer is not fit for purpose you are entitled to your money back.
You may need to go to the Lexmark website and download the drivers for use with Vista.
Probably need the driver for VISTA. Go to the Lexmark website and see if they have one for download.
I had this same problem with my HP printer and had to do the same thing.
your operating system shouldn't make a difference, the printer should be plug 'n play. I can't help you if it is not working sorry.
I would avoid Lexmark altogether, ive had nothing but trouble with their stuff
Go to Lexmark web site and download the Lexmark 1200 printer driver for Windows Vista Home Edition.
Good luck!
It is not on the Vista harware compatability list
