I am looking to buy a A3 printer that will also accept sheets of canvas, and preferably have individual ink cartridges.
Anyone got any recommendations?

I would actually first start with the paper. You need a special inkjet printable canvas. See if you can actually get that in an a3 format. After that almost any inkjet printer will print on canvas, you ware probably wanting to just at that point look for the a3 printer with the highest DPI, to yield the best quality prints.
