Ink cartridges by HP, are they individuals or are they like Lexmark cartridges ?
Answers:
it depends on the printer, most of the high end and photo quality hps come with different color cartridges, the older or cheaper ones are a single tricolor cartridge. different color cartridges are better because you only have to buy one color at a time instead of buying a whole cartridge because you are out of 1 color. also with all different colors, you can deffinitely use a multi color refill kit and not sacrifice quality because the print heads are not built in to the cartridge.
they come in packs too. costco has them for great prices in packs
I'm afraid your question is really incomplete to let us "guess" what you mean by "Lexmark carts".
If you mean whether you can by the different colors separately, the answers is "maybe". The higher end "Deskjet Pros" have separate color carts. The normal Deskjets do not (one cart containing 3 colors).
If that doesn't answer your question, you'll have to clarify your question.
HP makes printers that take individual cartridges and they make printers that only take two, it depends upon the model number.
It will say on the side of the box how many cartridges and what number they take.
