I keep getting an "ink pen failure" pop up when I go to print. I have a new black ink cartridge and the color one is only three months old. The ink light also keeps flashing. I actually replaced the black ink cartridge twice so it can't be the cartridge that's the problem.
Help???
Answers:
Age of the color cartridge has no bearing on this. If you have been printing without selecting grayscale, the printer hasbeen using the color cartridge to combine for a psued-black ink output. I would install a new color unit and verify it is not causing the problem. Try setting the properties to print in black only. This normally can be found under preferences on the page that comes up when you select File/Print.
