My lenmark printer say clear paper jam, but there is no paper jam? What should I do?
Answers:
Turn the printer off and unplug it. (Safety First!)
Open the cover to see if there is a small piece of paper stuck in the paper path. If you see it remove it.
Then take a can of compressed air and blow out any dust inside the machine. (Wear a dust mask)
Plug the machine back in and turn it on. If the error goes away you are back in business. If not...Then it may not be a paper path issue with the printer.
You could re-install the printer driver to see if the error goes away.
Good Luck.
beat on it. it might be something sticking inside thats makin it think its jammed.
look closely it only takes a tiny piece of paper to register a jam
Look at the where the paper travels in your printer. See if there is like a little plastic feeler (long and narrow) that might be in the up position. Put it down. If there is door on the back of the printer - check that as well for pieces of paper. Make sure all the doors are closed tightly.
Try removing and re-inserting paper, and cycling the power. If that doesn't work, call the Lexmark help line.
