Is lack of ink in the printer one factor that i cannot receive fax from outside?

I am trying to recieve fax from outside and unfortunately it is not going through. The ink in my printer is almost finished. I do not know hwy it is not going through please do tell me what might be wrong.Thank you

Could be a number of things. With out more info ill try to cover the most likely causes.
Maybe the ink but that is very doubtful. Just set the fax program to save the incoming fax in a folder to eliminate that as a problem. The main reason is likely your firewall or a configuration problem of the fax receive function. make sure your fire wall is allowing traffic on your dialup modem or turn it off while getting the fax (you can disconnect from the internet while doing this as a basic fax cant be sent through that anyway) also make sure your fax program Is set to receive either manually or automatically
You have not provided enough information about your system and fax settings for a definitive answer. More information is needed. It could be a modem issue. It could be a fax software issue.

However, low printer ink levels should not be the culprit unless the fax program is set to "print only". You may be able to set it to save the fax as a file and then print it later.

Check your fax settings (options).
