Are those refillable cartridges any good?

All you folks who have been refilling the BROTHER LC51 cartridges how has it being going? Have you had any problems with your print heads yet? How many times can you actually refill them before they go bad?

Also i am thinking of buying a set of compatible BROTHER LC51 cartridges. The transparent ones that come empty with a refill hole and reusable cover for the hole. Should i buy them? Do they actually work?

I would like to hear from someone who actually bought a set of them and used them.

Answers:
I got smearing with them that I never got with the original cartridges. I must admit that I was pretty disappointed. I tried HP as well, with pretty much the same results.

Wish I could give you a happier ending!
Ink is cheap it run on photo paper and the cartage runs out fast
Not only you will not get the same quality as with original ink cartridges, you will also damage your printer within 2-3 refills. Trust me on this one.
The ink is not the same, you will get ink drops all over your printer, and your print heads will go dead.
I have been refilling mine for years...
I use Epson and they have a sponge in the...
The trick is to never let them get completly dry or the songe will crack and you will get some streaks...
These are still good for everyday printing but you will have to replace it for good colr picture quality...Joe
