Can any other printer be used other than Dell 924?

My computer is a Dell and was bought last year. I also bought a Dell 924 printer. Sixty bucks for ink cartridges. So, is there a different printer that will work with Dell computers. Poor granny just needs that money to blow on other stuff.

any printer will work..i get mine at walmart . i never pay more then $30.00.for a brand new printer .if the ink needs replacing later, i will buy ink, if its $20.00 or less..if more then $20.00 ill just buy a new printer.and give the old one to somebody. i buy lexmark brand printers.they are cheap and work great.
If you bought it last year, then it likely connects by USB.
So, any USB printer will work.

I've been happy with HP printers. Go to a local Best Buy (or the like). Pick a couple of printers you like, then ask about the cost of the cartridges.

BTW, the printer companies sell printers cheap, so they can rip you on the ink.
