Would an ink cartridge that expired Nov 2006 still work?
Answers:
I would not buy an old Hp 29.
You can get away with it with most cartridge, however with age the air bags inside an HP 29 will compress causing the cartridge to leak. SO when the cartridge arrives you will most likely have a little foil bag filled with ink and a completely unusable cartridge.
I wouldn't. Just skip that deal, unless it is nearly FREE. But add in the shipping. You see, that cartridge might work, but will dry well before it should. You will get more printing out of a fresh cartridge.
That's why the date.
Good luck and Happy Computing!
I would think so be sure to shake it well before installing it.
As long as the cartridge is still sealed in its origional package it should be fine. Treat the expiry date as a 'best before' rather than a 'use by' date.

Don't get old HP 29 cartridge. HP 29 is most complicated cartridge from HP, even refilling those giving headache. Remanufactured HP 29 also bad choice. For those who stuck with HP 29 cartridges I recomend to get new HP printer. For example one that using HP 02. Refillable HP 02 are available at http://fillserv.com/cic/product.php?id=h...
I would not suggest using an expired cartridge for any printer or any brand. You may find the printer working fine initially, but it may cause severe damage to the print mechanism. Inks are made up of several complex chemicals and once they expire, its better to avoid them. Its same as taking an expired medicine. Moreover, you face any issue, call the hp support, they ask you to take out a few internal test pages and will tell you straight that you have been using expired cartridges..no other support, just buy another printer.
My advice.. don't go for expired cartridge..you can check some better deals on cartridges here..http://www.printcountry.com/hp-ink/hp+29...
Don't Buy even though it may be sealed the ink might have dried. It is not worth buying.
