Epson printer cartridges?

I heard they can't be recycled but are incinerated and used in electricity generation... Anyone know if this is right and where I should take/post my old cartridges to avoid them ending up in a landfill?

Answers:
If you refill your Epson cartridges there is a very real possibility that you will ruin the permanent internal print head and thus the printer (and not so great photo prints that do not last long) - so don't do it! - search around for bargain Epson carts (you can buy from Epson directly). The carts are incinerated to generate electricity and this is recommended as a good method. Further advice on the Epson Env website. In the UK, you can take them to your local Express Centre or send them to Epson.
