How can I view what I've scanned?

Answers:
This is like asking "how do I change the sparkplugs in my car?" Without knowing what car you have, we can't tell you how to do it. Without knowing what software you use, we can't help you.

When people scan a document, this is what usually happens:

They start their scanner software.
They click on Preview and then Scan.
The scanner software automatically saves the scanned image on the hard drive somewhere. It may be in the My Documents folder or My Pictures folder or somewhere else.

Some scanner softwares will not save the picture on the hard drive but will let you edit the picture before saving it. So, in order to save it, you first go to File >> Save As... and then save the picture on your hard drive. In order to view the picture you have scanned an hour ago, you have to know where you saved it. If you saved it in My Documents folder, then just open My documents and open the photo. It's very easy.

If you never see a preview of the picture that you scan, then I imagine that your scanner software doesn't ask you where to save it. Maybe it just saves it automatically in your My Documents folder. Who knows... (?)
Why did you buy a scanner?

You can scan a document with OCR software and produce a word document or pdf. In these cases use the respective programs to view the document.

Or you can create a graphics image which can be view with any number of graphics viewers. If saved as a GIF or JPEG you can view the image with your browser.
