How to fix my microtek scanner, the pc says USB port is not recognized.?

it furhter says ONE OF USB DEVICES ATTACHED TO THIS COMPUTER HAS MALFUNCTIONED, AND WINDOWS DOES NOT RECOGNIZE IT.I just used the scanner yesterday but now the usb port is not recognized.

Answers:
you might have to reload the drivers from cd that came with scanner or try to find them online
