Adobe reader?

what are its uses?

Answers:
Adobe Reader is the same thing as Adobe Acrobat Reader.

You don't need to use that product, it's bloatware that is full of junk and takes too long to start up. Try Foxit PDF Reader which is much smaller and without the bloat that Adobe puts in their products.

Hint: if you insist on using Adobe Acrobat, hold down SHIFT while it starts up and it will skip loading many of the bloating modules and start up much quicker.
Most common is that it lets you read .pdf files. PDF files are all over the internet used for manuals, docs, etc. You need adobe reader to view these files.
