My computer is running really slow, I tried to ran virus scan but nothing came up I need help?

Try the registry cleaner expert or any registry program.
It was solve my problem.. I have fast computer now..
Btw... you need also registry defrag.
couple of things to try
Open Task Manager (press ctrl + shift + esc) and check the performance tab to see how much memory is being used up and how much swap space is being used up. If both are high you may just be running too many programs at once (or just more than your system memory can support) so an upgrade would help there... Also, as a fix to the afore mentioned problem, try to disable some of the programs that run in the sys-tray (next to the clock). Right or left click them and exit. If that works - hit start --> run --> and type msconfig - at this point you can go to the startup tab and deselect the programs you are unfamiliar with them (try searching them on the internet) and reboot.

If the above does not work and you are running programs you didn't initiate or install then you should try an online virus scanner and a spyware/adware remover like spybot and adaware.

Also try defragmenting your drive and ensuring the drives are set to DMA and not PIO.. In XP - Go to -->System Properties -->Device Manager -->IDE ATA controllers -->Primary IDE -->Advanced Settings -->Device 0/Device 1 -->set Transfer Mode to:"DMA if available"
