Realize that scanners don't convert one folder format to another. If you have pdf files you want converted to word files near a scanner, you have to print them out, consequently scan them in a Scan To Text mode. (Scanners as a rule produce image files (.jpg or .gif)) Also, the conversion will be far from dependable. You'll have to move about through and correct mistranslations. Scanning software may also do strange things with formatting.
There apparently are pdf to word format conversion programs. I'd run a net search for them.
Well your best bet is to set it so that the image/document is scan in as a word document. On my HP scanner, adjectives you need to do is look at the option in the scanner toolbox and choose what program open the file. If you want to preserve it as going to pdf and only convert this one folder, you need to "squirrel away as" the file surrounded by Acrobat Reader and in the type box at the bottom, choose word document or something along those lines and later it will be a .doc file.
Some scanners allow you to revision the format it saves within. Like pdf or Tiff. Word will open Tiff files. If what you want is word doc so you can expurgate, well you will involve more. A scanner just make a image/picture, to do word by word, you need more OCR type software that you hold to help it cram to recognize characters and stuff.
