I have bought a new scanner hp 24000. how can i convert the pdf file ms word?

Realize that scanners don't convert one file format to another. If you have pdf files you want converted to word files with a scanner, you have to print them out, then scan them in a Scan To Text mode. (Scanners normally produce image files (.jpg or .gif)) Also, the conversion will be far from perfect. You'll have to go through and correct mistranslations. Scanning software may also do strange things with formatting.
There apparently are pdf to word format conversion programs. I'd run a web search for them.
Well your best bet is to set it so that the image/document is scanned in as a word document. On my HP scanner, all you need to do is look at the options in the scanner toolbox and choose what program opens the file. If you want to keep it as going to pdf and only convert this one file, you need to "save as" the file in Acrobat Reader and in the type box at the bottom, choose word document or something along those lines and then it will be a .doc file.
Some scanners allow you to change the format it saves in. Like pdf or Tiff. Word will open Tiff files. If what you want is word doc so you can edit, well you will need more. A scanner just makes a image/picture, to do word by word, you need more OCR type software that you have to help it learn to recognize characters and stuff.
Simple. Scan as document in Black & White and then select "Word or Formated text or Text" for saving.
Your file would come with an extension .doc or .txt
