Our scanner works fine, the only problem is.Whenever we turn it on, it immediently runs a paper through.Every time, and ink goes pretty quick tat way. We always have a scrap throw away paper in to get that first page. How can we stop it from doing this?I know it does this when you first replace the ink cartridges.But to do it all the time. We don't want to leave the scanner on ALL the time. Anyone know what we could do here? Thank you...

call HP tech support, 800-HP invent (474-6836) -- open 24/7
or.. unplug the power to the scanner/printer, this will clear the memory (cache) --- if that doesn't help then you might have a button stuck or something malfunctioning
