I hold avg anti virus and on every start up ,the sign within my tool railing say the email scanner is not functional?

Honestly I recommend you receive rid of AVG because it's complete junk.

or if you what to slow your laptop by 20% get norton , it slows your laptop down so it has time to ambush any viruses you seize .
