Where can i get my scanner repaired?
Answers:
The manufacturer, maybe Staples or a computer repair shop.
For the price of a new scanner it is not viable to have the old one repaired :(
what is the problem? Distorted image? If that is the case it might be due to the lubrication. Open it up and apply some on the movement rod. If still it doesn't work the sensor is damaged. If your scanner cannot be detected, try replacing the usb cable.
However based on my experience with scanners from 1998 which was my first scanner i got when i was in high school, scanner breaks down very easily within 2 years even if little usage. I am onto my 4th scanner and i decided not to get anymore scanners.
Option 1 get a new one. Get a flatbed or good looking one so you can at lest sell it off on ebay and stuff like that.
Option 2 try fixing it if it is lubrication or usb cable problem.
Option 3 Go to any photo proccessing store, their cost of scanning is just as good as buying one as home users rarely use it just like me. Always ask for highest resolution cuz the rates are flat rate, you just have to wait for the scanning longer.
Option 4 Fix it at the manufacturer customer service centre based on the manufacturers website but it is gonna cost you just as good as paying a tad more to get a new scanner. Dun fix it at those personal scanner fix DIY shop, cuz whatever they can do is just what you can do as the parts for scanner is not as widely avaliable as PCs parts - eg. motherboard
