How do I scan my photo with my scanner?

I have a brand new scanner and I have a photo that I want to add to my folder called 'My Pictures'. How do I do that?

Answers:
Best place to start is with the instruction manual that came with your scanner.

Most likely once you scan an image, it will ask you where you want to save it. Just pick your My Pictures folder when it asks. You may be able to set it as the default location. Again, check the manual that came with the scanner.
Most likely the scanner came with a driver/software disk. That disk will have software to scan with the device. You might look for a folder in Start>Programs>*your scanner company name* also if this is a windows vista system check with the manufacturer to check on the latest vista drivers/software.
