HP Scanner problem? no green light when scanning..Why?

When i scan, the image that is saved to my computer comes out completly dark. I opend the scanner while its scanning and i saw no green light. is the bulb burnt out and is there a way to replace?

Answers:
I would say that your C.C.D modules lamp has blown (The scanner / C.C.D is receiving power or else you would not get any image at all).
This is easy to replace, its just a matter of being able to get an original / correct lamp (As most manufacturers usually only supply internal components to certified technicians).

Note: Most machines will generate an error message / service code when a component / lamp fails (This is usually a combination of flashing lights etc). If this is not occurring then it could be something else.

I hope this has helped ;)
may no power
